Having just read through my Art of Astonishment set (again), I decided to try out this effect. I have one problem with it though and that is that it is quite obvious that midway through the effect when the bill switch has just happened (but before they realise it) that one of the bills is larger than the other. Any ideas on how to get over this?

I'll have to look through my AOA books and try this again. Maybe I can help with a suggestion then.

When I first read Buck Naked I thought the switch was very obvious, especially the fold where you overlap the top folded bills. The whole trick seemed very unnatural.

Well just to let you guys know...buck naked is great and get REALLY good reactions...for the switch you need misdirection, you cant have the spectators stare at your hands and do the switch...do accomplish the switch look at the bills then look at the spectator and ask a meaningful question and it is at this time you do the switch...and liam when you say one bill is larger than the other then you must be doing something wrong, maybe your fold isn't what it should be...buck naked is a great routine as long as you know what effect youre trying to potray

But when I do it with 2 5 pound notes and a 10 (which is larger)it is quite obvious after the switch that one of the 5s is slightly larger than the other. I may be doing it wrong so I'll have another look at it.

Hmm... that could be a problem, in the U.S. the 5's and 10's are the same size.

Yea I forgot about that...maybe its because youre using different currency. I'm in the U.S. so all the bills are the same color and same size
