I've got another wierd hobby.
I collect error coins. I've always thought an off-center and blank coin would make for an interesting routine, but I just can't seem to find the right combination. I'm attaching a photo of typical coins like I'm talking about and would be very interested in any thoughts or ideas. Thanks..... Steve Click here to view attached image. |

A mini sliding the face off a coin routine?

My first thought is a minting a blank in the spectators hand. The process goes awry and the first coin is off center. The process is repeated with another blank or the off center coin to produce the correct final product.

A spellbound change would look cool. you could have Lincoln leaving the coin with the first one, then completely gone with the second.

You could do "coin through the Table" gone wrong... where he almost made it etc etc.

I'm not sure how many of these coins you have, but if you have two of the pennies that look like they are half blank and half the portrait you can do a very slow coins across: You show a blank slug in one hand and a penny in the other. You say you will make them transpose. You do a quick coins across where the blank jumps to the other hand as the penny jumps also. You ask if they want to see it done slowly... they always do... now you knock your hands together and when you open them up each hand has a half penny/half slug showing the process in action. You knock your hands together and now the slug is in one hand and the penny in the other.
Just an idea. Greg
