Ok...I suppose I can consider it a
compliment but come on people! Someone decided that it was cute not to pay for a CD but to steal one. Its not like I'm a rich independent artist... and there's a reason why I sell my merch. Other than that everything else went ok. Its just that I was playing against the wall where the outlets are and my merch was directly opposite corner where I thought they would have me play at and that was in the corner by the tea. So I couldn't really watch what was happening over there. I only put out 5 CDs at a time and then my tip box. Anyway. That's how the world works. So I guess its ok to steal from a indie artist but not from the store who is doing an in-store performance...whatever. ...delete comment... I told Katie and she next time they'll put my merch next to me where its always been like that...and people are more free-er to come up to me and buy or talk or whatever but not steal.

Don't feel too bad. I'm a priest and people (church members) steal stuff out of the church all the time (even packages of toilet paper). Sorry way for them to show they like ur music, by stealing it. Always a few bad apples around to spoil the pie.

Perhaps they just took the CD and put the money in the tip jar? I've done that before, not wishing to interupt the singer.

I have a tip box.
If they need change they can make their own, just make change the register of the venue. The amount of money did not equal CDs sold. I don't mind when people do what you do. That's fine with me.
