Hi Guys.
What do you think of this book? How are the gambling effects in it? How many of the gambling effects require a faro shuffle? Thanks. Regards, Michael |

ImpromptuBoy (Michael):
Darwin Ortiz At the Card Table is a required Card Magic book. It is one of the classics that I recommend to other Magicians. It's a good book and Darwin Ortiz is a great writer. I like his Strong Magic book also. Try to purchase this book if you can. Darwin Ortiz uses the gambling theme in his magic. This book has many gambling effects in it and Darwin Ortiz teaches you gambling techniques. The book uses and teaches you the Zarrow Shuffle but I don't remember if any of the tricks in the book uses the Faro Shuffle. I forgot to mention that besides teaching you the Zarrow Shuffle, Darwin Ortiz teaches you a really good three-Card Monte, a great Card Warp and how to put a new deck in Si Stebbins order.

Does the 3 vol DVD with the same title have all the stuff in the book? Or do I still have to get the book if I already have his 3 DVDs?
Cheers

Here an even more detailed table of contents: "At The Card Table".
Of Ortiz's books on card magic the volume "Cardshark" is my favorite. It should be reprinted! Denis |
