Well, you could buy one as they're not very expensive. But you could get the plans for a large one and built it small.

There is one built called the Enchanted Treasure Chest (Made in India) that might serve your purpose.

This is the classic "tip over production box" and is superbly hand crafted to resemble a pirate's treasure chest. With this prop you can open the lid, tilt the box forward to show the audience it's empty, then produce a small animal or whatever else you desire. The box is 15 inches wide and 10 inches tall.

I purchased one of these yesterday from a gentleman who has too much magic in his garage and house, so I got a really good deal on it. It is a really beautiful piece. When my aspiring wizard saw it, his first reaction was "Dad, it's Harry Potter's back-to-Hogwarts school trunk !" Guess he has plans for using it in his act already.....
