Hi,
Does anyone have any experience of this effect ? Regards, Piers. They say : A board is shown which hold three different coloured envelopes (red, green & yellow). A lady and a gentleman each are asked to choose one of the envelopes. For example the lady chose the red and the gentleman the green. The lady reads the prediction from in side her envelope it reads, "I predict you will choose the red envelope". The gentleman reads his prediction and it reads, "I predict you will choose the green envelope". At this point your spectators should realise that there is something funny going on. Now for the kicker: - the yellow envelope is now given to a spectator to read out the prediction "the lady will choose the red envelope, the gentleman will choose the green and the yellow will be left for the magician". Please note the results of the final envelope can be different every time! www.justgiving.com/piers-cancer-fund www.justgiving.com/Piers-Cancer-Fund-2 www.justgiving.com/Piers-Cancer-Fund-3 Finished my 4 months of Chemotherapy in 2009. 3 monthly checks since... and into 2021! Hi Piers,
I don't own this effect but it sounds like a method Andy Nyman uses in his chair preddiction 'chair swindle' on his DVD 'Get Nyman'. Nice routine BTW. Regards Thomas |

It's a good comical mentalism effect... some would say it's more mental magic, but it is fun.
I have a method for it called STP in my ebook SIMPLE MINDED. There are other variations by others out there. Greg

In both the original and the one I put out you need minimal skills to get the job done.

Greg,
It seems like I remember from a past thread that your version dispenses with the big board and bands. Maybe you could expand on that a little bit because I have enjoyed performing the original but have never been a fan of dragging out that board to do it. Thanks, Dave |

Do you *need* to use a Board ?

I believe that the original was by Martin Lewis. He teaches it on Making Magic Vol. 1. It does use a board, so I admit I'm interested in Greg's version.
By the way, Greg, whatever happened to the Freestyle Book Test that is referred to in your link? Is it still being offered? Basil |

Basil is correct.
Technicolor prediction is on Martin Lewis' Making Magic Vol 1. It is a great light hearted peice of mental magic. I made it after watching the video and use it quite a bit. Normally as an opening effect to warm up the audience because of the built-in comedy of the first two predictions. Cheers. |
