Al:
Thanks for the compliment, but if you saw me perform it you might be so kind! I have no idea if what I do is the same as Fitzgerald's(but its hard to imagine that it could be too much different). I saw some kid demo'ing the relinking on some magic sight - don't remember which. Actually I saw 2 different perfromances. One of the perfromers left a tell-tale sign behind at the end of the trick. The other person compensated(I presume) with a little extra finger flicking. Its that litle extra finger flicking that tends to send the bands in orbit, for me - it took a long while before I learned how to avoid that(usually). Either way, I don't think my method looks as good as the guys that did the domos - but then, I would need to see a tape of myself to see how good or bad it is. My thought was to incorporate the relinking with a Christian patter of the tendency to return to our old ways even thought we are truly free(unlinked). Regardless, I've thought about getting Harlans video, Band Shark?, and some others with ring penetrations(Pinnacle & Rhing Thing), but lately I've migrated from rubber bands to ropes. So I'm currently working my way thru Dary's Rope Magic. Daryl's 3 DVD set is very good(for a beginner to rope magic like myself). I find that the rope is more of something that I can do in front of a larger audience. In fact, I just gave my very first show today, at a family reunion, and used few things from Daryls work. John

You are right rope tricks will play much bigger than rubber band tricks, but most people that I show my rubber band magic to have never seen any rubber band magic before. Also if you learn "rhing thing" first, it will give you the technique to do other peoples tricks better than them like broken restore, or pinnacle. The Mendoza move is devastating. Al

Thanks Al
I was otherwise thinking of first getting Pinnacle first. Certainly the venue determines which is more appropriate. 99% of the stuff I've worked on in the last year has been close-up. So, I just recently started working on some stage/parlor type effects - mainly rope stuff. John
