I am now working through this book and am quickly falling in love with Mr. Aronson's work. I haven't got to the stacked deck portion and am still unwrapping the undue Influence principle. So far I've found Prior Commitment my favorite. And I've found the addition of the printed numbers very strong. At the reveal the specs are flabbergasted as to how I knew in advance where they would cut. It seems to undue any mathematical principle being employed.
I recently saw it performed on Penn and Tellers, "Fool Us", and it did just that. The traditional Aronson presentation earned the magician a trip to perform as a part of Penn and Teller's Vegas show. This "simple" presentation succeeded where much more "flashy" effects failed.

Hi,
I've been doing quite a bit with this principle recently. I've also been learning how program Android apps so I've made a Undo Influence Calculator. You can specify the deck size, if the marker/indicator cards are removed or not, reverse mode and calculate marker positions from the final positions you want the cards to end up at or the other way round. It’s not teaching you how to do the principle you’ll need to have the book to understand what the app is doing. Screenshot here: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736......8990.jpg This is only my second app so it is very much an early Beta. It was written for my phone (Samsung Galaxy S5) so might not look right on smaller screens. This is Android only (sorry Apple fan boys). PM me if you'd like to get access to the Beta install. Cheers, Mark |

Can anyone clarify whether this book explains the Aronson stack?
I bought the book and it had a poker sized card within showing the stack. However I can't find any explanation? Maybe I need an earlier work? Thanks Nic |

Page 197 of the book lists the stack in order. JS position 1 to 9D position 52 (1 being the top card of the face down deck and 52 being the bottom card of a face down deck. His book "Bound to Please" is a hard cover compilation of his early work and I would recommend that one for sure. A great starting place is a free download https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/magic-......of-this/ Vanishing Inc also has some great e-books on the Aronson stack by Eric Richardson - "OASIS" "TOUR" "IT ALL DEPENDS"
"Memories are Made of This" (the free ebook above) is also available free from Simon's Site http://magicians.simonaronson.com/
