Got the main part of this flourish sussed but any tips to get the cards to faro easily?

Depending on which of the 5 one handed shuffles you are doing, will depend on technique. I assume you are doing the common one most magicians do attributed to Howard DeCourcey. If you are using that one, a stong pinky on the corner, with the help of pressure from your thumb and index finger. I find that if it doesn't faro, then release pressure and start again gently. This should help.

I can do a one hand shuffle fairly well and all it took was a lot of practice, When I first started I used warped cards and that I guess helped a little. But the key thing is to not expect to get it right away, which you probably know, and it will take a while to learn...
I like cards.
