GET THE SANKEY VIDEO!!!!
I used it and now I know this one chicks name!... I'm telling you man don't settle for a "no" if she says some ambiguous crap, go burn her name on her driveway... its one of the "outs" described on the Sankey video, if you mess up the erotically themed coins across. |

Cute one, Luther. I like it.
To underline the point to Cholly, I'll just fall back on the fact that the non-obsessive, move-on-if-it-doesn't-click approach netted me a happy, highly successful marriage with the RIGHT one. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Steve

Your impromptu boy, I'm sure you'll think of somthing on the spot.....
Ok ask her out on a date first and if that goes well then it won't matter how you ask her out as long as you don't sound arrogant. |

Let me ask you this. What if a girl asks you out for ice cream. Does that really mean anything?

I think it means she likes ice cream.
As far as her opinion of you, it could be anything from thinking you're a friend, to wanting to get to know you better, to well... you can take the rest.

As an official Old Married Dude (OMD), I'm going to side with the other OMDs. Just get to know her. Engage in conversation. By far the most important thing is whether she is a person you like spending time with.
As for the persistence angle, all I can say is it worked for me. My wife didn't like me when we met. She thought I was a dweeb. She still thinks I'm a dweeb, but she likes me now. All I did to win her over was hang out where she hung out and get to know her, and let her get to know me. We're at 18 terrific years of marriage, and still counting. And as Steve says, if it doesn't happen, that's ok too. Better to find out earlier rather than later! (That doesn't make it any easier to deal with, but you can remind yourself over and over to console you...) Geoff

What if you don't know what to say? You cant be your self. Usually you are very funny, but when you are with the woman you dessire you are just speachless. How do you overcome that?

Ice cream wouldnt be a very good topic to discuss. To me that would seem as if you were struggling to find conversation. To be honest, if shes a person you would have a good time dating, conversation should come easy. Im not saying it wouldnt be awkward at times and that you wouldnt have to come up with things to talk about while hanging out, but it shouldnt be like pulling teeth. If it is, you either need to spend even more time together to get to know each other or find someone you 'click' with a little better. I really think the only problem is that you think there will be a problem. If you hang out it will be hard for about 5 minutes, after that the conversation will flow. It always does. Good luck.

Just ask her. Be sincere. May require courage, but women like a man with courage. If she's a lady she'll respect you for it, whether she says yes or no.
And she might say YES. |
