No, but I've read where meal worms have been used in TT's.
The production of moths or butterflies would be nice, or maybe have a cocoon transform. Curious, what insect did you have in mind? |

Nope, but I wouldn't rule them out !
I do recall seeing some magic books for kids listing a trick using an "invisble" flea or something.. does that count ?

I have developed a butterfly that comes to life.
It is basically a feather imitation butterfly with a tiny power mxxxxx glued underneath it. It is activated by placing it on the case of a Psychokinetic Bolt. The effect is quite amusing but I am not sure it is really good enough to use. Francis |

I have used a rice changing to maggots effect. I got quite a reaction from the teens that I was performing for. It is published somewhere (Black Hart's Black Book?).

I was just thinking of a bizarre routine along these lines with a tie in to the "Mothman Prophecy's.
Of course, "Spook" does have stinging idea with Bees, according to the "buzz". |

David Hoy did an awesome effect where he moved a ping pong ball with only the powers of his mind. And guess what he used?

Offer to create a small nuclear explosion in a drawer box. A bit of flash paper flares up....and the only thing that survives is one of these babies!

Christian Chelman has a nice routine using a beetle in his Capricornian Tales.
I know I've mentioned this book before, but it really does have a lot of great stuff in it. |

Nicholas,
Penn and Teller produced live cockroaches on Letterman a long time ago. He didn't know they were coming. They said it kept them off the show for a full year thereafter. Those Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches in the photo that you link to are apparently easy to wrangle. If you want to see more of them than you ever thought possible, watch the post-apocalypse film "***ation Alley." The only survivors, indeed! A Flea Circus is a lot easier... Yours, Paul ___________ The Café's auto-edit won't let me print the title of that movie, but here's a link to a review: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075909/ Yours, Paul |
