Does any magicians have or use this trick? I'm wondering if it is good effect and easy to do for a begginner-intermediate magician. Is there preparation or can the trick be done on the fly. Thanks for your help.

Maven's Kurotsuke is the same effect (different method). I personally prefer the Maven effect as there are NO gimmicks, and everything seems to be legit. Also, Maven's routine is impromptu.
