Hey guys,
I was fortunate enough to get theses dvd's before they were released, thanks to Dan and Dave. I think I should review them to give the rest of you guys an idea what they are about. I am not going to list all the effects or what happens in them, becuase you guys can watch the DVD. First off, the production quality of these dvd's is superb. The dvd disks themselves look amazing and the video quality is impressive. I really liked the way it was edited and the dvd menu was made, so props to DBSQUARED Productions, Dan, Dave, George and Peetee. You can see the DVD artwork at http://dgarciaproductions.com/images/dg_silkscreens.jpg The music on the dvd was also by Danny which gives it a nice touch. The Performence section of the dvd is filmed like a David Blaine street video as it is all done on people in the street. All the explanations in the dvd are filmed from 2 angles, one from the front, a long body shot and the other looking directly at the cards from the left. I found the left angle really usefull as it really shows whats going on. Both these angles are playing at the same time which is pretty cool and original. VOL 1: This dvd contains effects using not only cards and coins but also rubber bands. My favorite effect is the one with the rubber bands as it is so *** visual and is easy to do. As I am a card guy I focued on the card effects which were pretty cool. It teaches some "original" moves by Danny himself which are useful and can be applied to other effects. VOL 2: This dvd also contails effects with different objects, suck as cigarettes. There are more card effects in this dvd including a cool sandwhich and a really nice impromtu haunted deck. If your into coin effects then you are in for a treat as he has a very cool matrix effect and a coin penatration which is funny. VOL 3: This is my favorite of all the dvd's at it contains the most card effects which are very cool. He included his Triumph which is really visual and has a really cool unexpected ending. This dvd also contains my favorite effect on the whole set of dvd's which is his Card At Any Number effect. I really like the way it is done and it is really easy. Conclusion: Paul Harris made a good choice by putting his name on these dvd's as I was impressed by them. If you want a good range of effects with cards, coins, cigarettes and rubber bands then get these dvds. I HIGHLY recommend them Get it at http://www.dgarciaproductions.com |
