Hi guys(male & female types)
I was just wondering if there are any FCM members in NC. I have been a member a couple of times, but each time my membership lapsed because of other things coming up at the wrong time and I wasn't fully engaged in Gospel Magic at the (right)time. If there was a FCM chapter nearby, I think I could keep more focused. So, Question No.1) Is there an FCM chapter in North Carolina? Question No.2) Where is it located? Question No.3) If not(see Q#1), Are there any members(or people who'd like to be members) of FCM in North Carolina? Question No.4) Where are you located? Question No.5) Would you like to get together and form a Chapter, or at least meet and talk about it? Thanks Godspeed Steve Giunta Ps I Live about halfway between raleigh and fayetteville. |

Thanks for the website Dan.
I guess there are 2 FCM chapters in NC, unfortuneately they are to far to travel to realistically, at present. So, I will try another way. I am trying to get a line on Christian Magicians in my area, who might like to get together, have coffee, fellowship, and share ideas etc... . I have, in the last couple of years, met several Christian Magicians from my area at the "Café" and out roaming about, who are from my neck of the woods. For some reason or the other, I was never able to get together with them, and have lost contact. So I am putting out the call. I live in Lillington, NC, this is about halfway between Raleigh and Ft. Bragg/Fayetteville. If you are in the area and would like to set up a meet, Pm me, and I'll see if we can get together, individually, or in a group if possible. Thanks and God Bless Steve Giunta |

Steve,
Start your own chapter. Get a few Christians in the area who do magic, clowning, balloons, and vent, then contact the international org. |

Sounds good to me Darkwing.
Anybody else in the area that would like to start a chapter? Godspeed Steve |

I have aways been interested in a chapter but not anything I know of in my area either. I agree that it is easier to keep interest when others are available locally. I had thought about opening up a magic school and using it to acquire those interested in this area in forming a group.

It is hard to start a group.
So don't put pressure on yourself. Pray about it. Start with one other individual. Find a friend, or make a friend and start there. Then add another and in time, you could have a group. I have met several other Christian magicians at local magic shops. So if there is such a place that might be worth a try. Or put up a wanted note (Wanted Christians Magicians to fellowship and jam) on a bulletin board at some grocery stores, or wherever you have access and think others might see it. But as I said at the beginning, Pray about it. God knows the Christian Magicians in your area and your needs better than you do. I will pray for your effort in finding other too. God Bless BroDavid

It really is hard to put together a group.
I have tried. People are so busy now adays. I will pray for your efforts also like David. I have the same issue here in Wisconsin. The President of FCM even lives really close but there is still no chapter near here. Weird huh? God Bless Daniel Faith

Finding someone interested in magic is hard living in the sticks ...........................believe me I have done it for years. I am retired Methodist clergy serving as a chaplain for 9 years at the local NC State Veterans Nursing Home, in Salisbury, NC. I do magic there for the veterans and they love it. Don't know of any FCM groups here but do know of members here and there who are I think FCM members. Good luck, and God's blessings !

We have the same problem here in Vermont. I would even be willing to travel to upstate New York, but there is nothing within reasonable reach (two hours travel or so). Pretty much no surprise since this area of the country is so unchurched...we are the most unchurched state in the USA. But even for non-Christian magicians it is barren.
