This morning, I shared a program at a place called Tumble-Cheer(sic???)
It was a gymnastic based building. They had wonderful balls, hoops, and of course the floor mat. Along with my regular program, I decided to play with what was there. We juggled large hoops(Sort of like small hula hoops) and even the large ball that people use for ....??? My background as a member of Comedy Sportz(improv troupe), gives me an eye for what can be used on site.(with permission of course) Can anyone share similar experiences with spontaneous props at their venues? Be safe, well and creative.(Of course to be creative we do need to take some risks) Harris Deutsch Laughologist

I did this daycare venue where they had this long board bench that I balanced on my chin. Being able to balance on my chin helps to be impromptu with objects everywhere: Baby strollers, skateboards, chairs, ladders, bikes, tables...
I once was at a birthday party and was doing a handcuff escape and some kid decided to bring his own and wanted to challenge me. It was great cause I noticed that his were the kind that have that release lever so I agreed. They loved me. |
