At the coin magic seminar in Philly Kainoa did a routine inspired by Curtis Kam's table hopper's trio. In short 4 coins did 4 different things. Only one went through the table. Curtis's idea was just because you have 4 coins doesn't mean they have to do the same thing. It was a great routine -one coin went thru the table, one went thru the hand, one went across, & one vanihed only to appear back on the table with his friends. It really got me thinking. I can combine all my favorite effets into one routine. That for me was better than any coins thru table.

Mike has a great ending, where instead of sending the last coin through the table, the other coins go back up through the table to join the one on the table surface. It appeared in Ammar's Encore II.
S.E.M. (The Sun, the Moon, and the Earth) is a sun and moon routine unlike any other. Limited to 100 sets, here is the promo:

It's quite startling for audiences as they never see it coming. I've tried it just sending all 4 through the table and the reaction doesn't come close as to using Mike's idea. OOPS, just saw Dr. Rubinstein's response. It's also on Ammar's coin videos.

I worked out one donkey's years ago using a hoo coin... think about it. You could also use a shimmed set and a magnet on your leg.

The first time I saw Gallo's ending performed live it absolutely floored me (I was still pretty green then). Seems impossible and very magical.
On a side note, how many of you have performed Roth's coins through miniature table? I actually performed this for quite a few years, but slowly stopped doing it when I went to doing primarily stand-up. I even used it in a couple of competitions. Magicians seemed to go ga-ga over it since they had only heard of it (or read about it). My only change was to use a shell instead of lapping (you still need to lap at the end, however). I wish there was some way to send the little table through without lapping (like a little table trapeze to hook the little table to). |

LOL!
Sounds difficult. Maybe a collapsible table on top and a duplicate table blue tacked underneath. Or maybe a basket servante hanging from the table edge to catch it when it falls - there's gotta be something out there . . . |

BTW, how about Roth's version of all 4 coins through instaneously? - I think it's called Squash. Anyone do this? I did this awhile too - again back in my "table magic" days. I have a feeling nobody does much of the formal table stuff anymore. A real shame because there's some strong stuff out there that I'd love to do - just not practical in most real world situations.
