Where can I find plans to build the box where say 3 or 4 people go inside, then the sides of the box collpase and they have vanished. I have seen this now on 2 TV programmes, best one was on Monkey Magic, and at the end of the show, there was a wooden crate, and they used a ladder to climb into it, after they had all got in, the box collapsed and they had vansihed. It was on a raised platform that you could see beneath. I hope this makes sense to someone

Yes
I have seen this performed The easiest way to do this would be to have just a deceptive base large enough to get the people. BTW, I am also assuming that you are using Assistants with the base. If you are using audience members... um... yah (no ideas) Derek Merdinyan |

You most likey would have to hire someone to draw up plans and/or build it for you. The current variations of this (that I've seen) are all pretty unique to the performer.
Your best bet would be to apply one or more of the following: -Dec****** B*** -Black Art -Million dollar mystery principle (difficult to master) And yes, you would need assistants or have a serious talk with the audience volunteer afterward (hey, Copperfield does it). Good luck.

I know, and yes it would have to involve assistants, but I think it would be a killer ending to a stage act and would love to use it. Me and my assistants getting in the box and vanishing. Maybe I will just have to contact Monkey Magic or something and ask for more help

How about a pedestal, combined with a D.B. (no, not a database). Make it deep enough for two people, and have them in a sort of "face-first Palanquin position." If you want me to elaborate, feel free to PM me. I would be more than willing to help you out.

How about an ungimmicked crate but using a gimmicked ladder for the get away as Doug Henning and others have used.
