In the past few years there has been a surge in the interest in mentalism, apparently this has happened in the past, many years ago and died away for a while. As I recall, those who remember that time consider this period now will eventually die down, just as it did then. From my own observations I would agree.
My question is this; do you see this time of interest in mentalism (by those who wish to learn it) decreasing? Will it remain constant, or will it increase again. H.W

It depends on performers (speaking of card magic) like David Blaine or (speaking of mentalism) Derren Brown and so on. The media takes care of the interests of the people...

Magic went through a resergence after Doug Henning and David Copperfield aroused public interest (and bookings). The public also generated many magic hobbyist, some of whom became todays magicians. There has been a fall off from those golden days, and Blaine and Darren Browne's shows indicates a possible new direction. I suspect that the major increase in interest is among magicians, rather than those booking shows. Anyway, I agree that this will likely be a relatively short boom in mentalism interest - but then who knows what the future will bring. Wait! I do, I'm a psychic entertainer! Keith

Hey, sounds like we need a precognition expert here. Where is that envelope?
I once stopped at a psychic booth, and asked if she knew where the bathroom was." No clue." But she offered to give me a reading on whether I should get married.
