"Speaking of Tarot...where's your favorite deck, Baba," said Bella looking around what was left of the soot filled room .
"Oh, I managed to save all but one card...but here's the rest of the deck. The other card is practically burnt to ashes somewhere around here." Baba motions Bella toward the space where the altar once was. "All that remains are these few burnt statues of the Gods, and a few initiation beads," said Baba. "But anyway, listen, as we both know, you're surely in tune with your inner spirit...lets see if you can find a card that fits my path at this time Bella." Baba dusts off the old tattered Tarot deck, shuffles it and motions to Bella smiling. "Here, now cut the deck for us." Bella, carefully stepping over broken glass, walks over and cuts the deck. "Alright Bella, does that feel alright? Or should you cut again?" "it's fine Baba," said Bella confidently. "So, now take the top card you cut for us...look at it..but don't tell me...I will follow the Spirit from here..." Bella does so, and carefully returns the card back to the blackened deck. "Well...I'm getting the feeling that our card is especially befitting my situation...i'm not getting it...what was the card mama?" "You're right Baba, it DOES fit your current path...it was...the Tower," said Bella in a saddened tone. "That's not possible though...the Tower was the only card that burnt from the deck!" Here, look through the deck...it can't be there!" Bella carefully looked through the deck, her hands becoming black from the soot. "Well...it WAS in here...or...I thought I seen it..." Baba turns around toward the altar, "Look over there...that's where I remember it last." Bella walks to the former altar space, pushes some debris aside, and is astonished to see sitting on what was left of the table, the Tower card, almost completely consumed by the fire. "Ah, the Tower card," said Baba smiling. "It is the representation on the destruction of material possessions...'twas quite a lesson...one I shall never forget." The two slowly took one last look at the ol' room, and made their careful way outside, where a new world had just begun for the ol' Baba. --------------------------------------------------------- ~Yes, was quite a magickal moment that day...I simply took advantage of an otherwise maccabre situation. ~was a simple ste*l with a dup* on the altar. well, thanx for reading...I cant wait to post here again more often...I shall be traveling for some time... take good care my good magi!! |
