I posted my modification to make a pack flat ,carry in with one hand case, Flying carpet modification in the Secret Sessions again due to many emails.
I had to post it there because it does expose the Illusion itself. here it is: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......37&0

This sounds interesting but do you think the carpet is better than the chair?
I have heard many carpet owners change to the chair because of angles.
Nothing of the same will bring any change, take action today!

I suggest you show an AVI or video file of your presentation so it could encourage interested buyers on your product.

I perform the chair suspension. But, for certain shows, the flying carpet would be nice. The modification sounds like a great idea - if I had that, years ago, I may not have sold my carpet. How much weight can it hold, reliably, without excessive flexing?

The modifications certainly make this illusion much more appealing for the performer. It solves one of the problems many entertainers have wih the illusion by allowing it to pack flat. easy to transport, easy to move and set up and break down. It is certainly worth looking into if you have one already or are thinking of getting one in the near future. Thanks Glod for working on this idea.
I still prefer the chair suspension, but this new idea on the pack flat flying carpet certainly makes that illusion more appealing by solving some of the problems I myself have had with it. Great job. Kyle

I have tested mine it at 205 lbs, and actually used it at a company function with an adult more than once.
I Do NOT recommend that and I am sure it would vary by the quality of the welds on your particular unit.

Glod: May I ask you what type of routine you do with yours as well as the safety precautions you take when performing it? I ask this because we have discussed numerous times the safety checks I use with presenting my chairs as well as my routining.
I think it would be of great benefit to the readers if they could hear how you go about presenting this effect and what types of safety measures you take. I hope it would be ok of me asking this of you. You seem to have a vast knowledge on this illusion and it might benefit a lot of others as well. To get things started let me post a few questions for you: - How do you set the illusion up when at the event so that no one sees the secret behind it? - How much weight do you usually strive for and what is your own limits on weight you place on it for yourself? - Do you use a hlper from the audience or do you prefer to use your own assistant? - If you use an audience helper, how do you approach the routine to make them relaxed and comfortable while performing it? Thanks in advance Glod and I look forward to hearing your insight. Kyle
