For those of you that read and enjoyed (I did) THE FEINTS AND TEMPTS OF HARRY REISER, by Ed Brown, Kaufman & Greenberg 1996, will be pleased to know that Hermetic Press next release will be a new book with the magic of Harry Reiser, hopefully comming out in october.
As Pete Biro usally say "Stay tooned..."

Thanks Peo. I enjoyed 'Feints and Temps' as well. Do you know if the new book will be all Harry Riser stuff, or will it include other people's as well?
Richard

I assume its 100% Harry Riser, but I have to ask Stephen Minch about it.

I got the following e-mail from Stephen:
"Hi, Peo, The Riser book will resemble his Feints and Temps in size. Earle Oakes will again be illustrating. It contains Harry's Egg Bag and Linking Ring routines, and about fifty of his best card tricks. The book following this will probably be a reprint of Juan Tamariz's Five Points in Magic."

"The Feints and Temps of Harry Riser", and "Secrets of an Escamouter" are two of the best books about magic you'll ever get your hands on.
Any one effect in either book is worth the price of the entire book. Harry's card marking system by itself in "Feints" is worth the price of the book. And either Harrys "Linking Rings" or "Malini Egg Bag" in "Secrets" is worth the price of the entire book. Harry's work with the Faro Shuffle in "Secrets" is some of the best faro information you'll ever get your hands on. Both of these books are brilliant. |
