Hi,
I'm french, sorry but my english is not perfect.., I would like to perform some tricks in the subway. What tricks would you do, without words, sitting on a seat ? First, I don't want to speak to people just drawing the attention. I thought to perform : - slow burn (paper to money) - twisting the aces - ambitious card routine Thanks for your answer and experience. Laurent |

If you are looking to draw attention without speaking... you would probably want to do something a little more extravagant to gather a crowd. Use something that makes a bit of noise, or larger props... Linking rings would be a good idea. After a crowd gathers, jump into some card magic. Just my 2cents.

Put up a sign with a clock on it. "Next Show at 4:39" for example. Then do something that is visually interesting. A man fiddling with a deck of cards isn't interesting. A torn and restored newspaper where you are slowly tearing the paper apart for example.

To draw attention do crazy cuts. Sybil cuts, and jazz like the Buck Twins and such do. Never fails to catch and keep the eye of random people nearby!

I'll be in Paris the next week. If I see a boy sybil cutting a deck with a "Next show at 4:39" sign, I will stop and ask you a twisting the aces performance
And my advice to catch attention is using music, but not too loud or it will annoy ppl instead of interest them. Dave |

Card thru window is a very good one to perform in a subway. I do it pretty often on the bus . it gets great reactions.
sponge balls is also good as you can gesture all the way thru your routine. have fun -Matt
