Where can I find this?
There is a small cardboard box and a woman is placed in to it then the magician starts to put swords or sharpened broom stick handles through the box then they are taken out and the woman comes out of the box in one piece. Thanks, Lukas

Andrew Mayne has a version of this with umbrellas.
From everything I've heard so far it's pretty great.

You can also find a version in UF Grant's Victory Carton Illusions. It is full of illusions you can do with cardboard boxes. I started with that book, and used the cardboard as templates for wood illusions later.

But ... is it a penetration effect, or a vanish?

Or, it could be presented as a vanish, with the spikes or umbrellas as "proof" she's gone.
