Last night in my "Street Magic/Mentalism", I tried that AND 3rd Choice for the first time. It was also my practice run, as it's hard to practice when usually I only got one family member at a time. I did it and it went well. I got it off of easy to master mentalism. However I DO use a Card Force. I see Richard's point of them just putting the card in the envelope, BUT the other 3 write on paper so why shouldn't the person with the card do the same. They chose a card looked at it put it in the center of the deck and the deck was put away. Also instead of tearing the last one I just pocketed it. He's right no one ask to see the info. I just used a small spiral notebook for the three papers ther right on, and the pad I right on. Even though it's kind of lengthy it still went over well for my street crowd. I did it like 8 times, and twice I moved the wrong envelope. So I did the 1st person's, THAN the third person's, than the second person's. NO ONE NOTICED though even though I numbered the envelopes...lol !!! It got such a GREAT REACTION. People ran off shouting (they came back), people gasped, and I had a few ask if I was really Psychic. I just now might have a favorite "Mind Reading" Effect now.
For third choice I just used my ESPecially Wild cards. I do HOWEVER, do a Olram Count, BUT I'm not like front back front back. I just do it casually as I name each symbol. On the last one I make a joke about blue being my favorite colored backs. I put them in. One I got marked for the **** Card. Also I purposely flash the back of the **** card as I put it in the envelope. Like I said I don't really call attention to it. I do those just to put in subconsciencely in there minds. You see my crowds are rougher so I have do perform it that way. It killed. He's right it doesn't get them how the cards are taken out. Richard Osterlind's stuff and style of teaching are great.

Eddini, I don't do this myself, but I try all routines out on my 40-odd chinchillas first off. I keep 'em "out back", & they're in for a treat tonight.
I 'do' do a version of Out Of This World, where the subject ends up selecting a coloured card that determines whether he is homosexual or not. I've had some interesting results & occassionally change some lives for the better. Pasq (Gay as a window).

The majority of it was true, but I'm perfectly straight. P.

Eddini, Are you using Osterlind's BCS for your card force? I have been using 3x5 cards. I take the first card back and use Busche's Billet peek just before I slide the card into the envelope. I hand it back to them to seal. The other cards the spectators do themselves now that they know what they are supposed to do. It eleminates you having to use a force. Kent

No I use no peek. I use the Hindu-Drop off bottom force. The card is put in the middle. The deck placed back in the box. They write the card on their slip, and then fold it in quarters. THEY place it in the envelope and seal it. It is just like Osterlind does on ETMMM (3). Except I don't use a book. I've tried that force just as a book test in itself but I still make took much noise doing the move. I still haven't got the BCS yet. I "got" how to get the values, and suits a-6. Just suits 7-K I haven't got but it'll "come to me soon". It's tried to be explained but I still got trouble. I like the BSC, I just can't use it. No with them folding the slips and sealing the envelopes you CAN'T do a peek. Maybe you're thinking of a different version. I do the Osterlind version on volume (3) "Easy To Master Mental Miracles". It's a KILLER routine. Thanks, Ed, (Eddini).
