Kyle,
I have been able to get names of the PTA presidents only in those cases where the school's principal passed along my initial mailing to the PTA. My next mailing will be addressed to the PTA presidents not by name, but by title. These will be sent to the PTA president at the elementary school's address. I've got it on good authority that the PTA will have a mailbox in just about every elementary school around. I'll let you know what kind of response I get. Tony |

Great idea and a great way to test and track your marketing. Just figure out what returns you get from each mailing and see what works best to obtain the best results. Often times, tracking a mailing in this way, will really allow you to see clearly which methods work the best.
Thanks again for sharing this information with me. I always strive to learn as much as I can and gain insight from others such as yourself. Kyle

Tony, Kyle, and others who have tried it, as I mentioned I have mailed out about 200 letters with another 200 to 300 going out in the next 3 weeks. My question, what about post cards instead of letters? The cost to mail is 10 cents cheaper per unit but would the response be as large?

Peter,
I have not tried doing a postcard mailing. I think this might work better as a follow up to an sales letter, just to keep you in people's minds. I've seen some posts here in the past regarding postcard marketing - you may want to do a search. Tony |

Postcard marketing can truely be effective if you do it the right way, target to a qualified lead and give the person a call to action. Of course the best way to see if it works for you, is to simply take action, give it a try and test the results and responses you get.
