I've got an independent study I'm taking next semester. I'm thinking about studying things such as the Gilbreath Principle, Faro shuffles, and properties of riffle shuffles. I know there's a ton of mathematical related magic out there. Is there anything else you guys would recommend I look into? I've started looking through some Gardner material and S. Brent Morris's book Magic Tricks, Card Shuffling, and Dynamic Computer Memories.

Have any of you ever completed an independent study on this type of material? How did it work for you? Is there anything else you could recommend? Thanks in advance for all your help.
