The ultimate ctw is practical but it takes practice and time to do it exactly right. I watch the instructional dvd like 3 times after about a week or so I'm preforming it and the reaction I get are amazing. The deck through window is the best. It doesn't take a lot of work to make the deck or a card fly through the window ,but to make it stick is such a pain. They also have lots of good and new ideas on the dvd it just doesn't have CTW. They teach you everything on the demo video and more. Overall I would rate it a 8 out of 10. I recommend it to any street magician who wants good reactions and who is patient.

OK so even if PM's what are the limitations of this? I have Dave Forrests version and perform it from time to time. but I hate having to caryy the little thingy (YOU guys know what I mean) In my pocket. Same question I asked Dave before I bought his.
"Say I'm at a Bar not for money but with friends and performing. How hard would it be to say hey I'm going to the bathroom, And then go do the dirty work to then do the effect later? Or is there more to it then that?"

If you just want to do the card flutters through window or the deck through window, than setting this up would not be too hard in my opinion. However, if you want to do the card sticks on the other side of the glass ultimate card through window, then it will take longer and you would need to carry a bit more stuff around with you besides just the basic method that you need for the card flutters through window. |

Ok ok ok which version on the DVD is the ultimate? Which one is the one where he waves one card through? Is that one practical or a throw away? Finally how does it damage a wall which version are you talking about and do you mean a "wall" or the window? Thanks

Wall, and it doesn't have to cause any "damage" not that it really damages the wall either.
The visual appearance is the UCTW. Very good purchase.

I've seen a few posts saying that this is a very bad purchase, yet the reviews in this thread are largely positive. Wonder why? I've already ordered it, so it's too late for me, but could anybody who dislikes this product state some reasons as to why?
Thanks |

I like the ideas taught there. The only down side is that some methods are not that easy to set up in public locations despite the gimmick being very portable. However, of cos you can use other versions taught in the DVD with regards to the situation.
If its in your own house, setup is a breeze for all the variations. But if you are outside, only a few methods can be used. In addition, he did not teach the version where he shot the card thru the window and it was picked up by 3 ladies on the other side. That was actually what I wanted when I purchased the DVD but sadly, that method was not taught Overall, I really like a few of his handlings and hence, wouldnt say its a bad DVD. I believe you would be able to find something that's worth your time in that DVD Cheers!

Ok ok I am going to break it down. in the demo the one on the high window is a plant. the one on the directory I believe is a plant. the one where he holds the card and passes it through doesn't require the main gimmick...but this one is the most impractical because it uses b**** art. the flutter through, the deck through, and the one where it sticks all use the same method..but the one where it sticks is requires a "little more stuff"..it shouldn't take more than 10 more seconds to hook up the one where it sticks but I would worry about the visibility of "little more stuff", the card through tv taught me stuff about electronics that I didn't know..it is a neat concept practical I don't know depends where you perform. card to cell phone is not that great in my opinion. card to wallet, shoe, pocket, and anywhere else is a plant. card through table is totally impromptu and so is deck through table..out of the two deck through table looks better, he says the audience wont see you do the slight but I think you have to be bold to do it. the one in the demo outside the snack shop is a way he says to do it twice for hecklers...it is not a gimmicked method it is fairly impromptu you just need the substance to make the card stick. the walla stab is more of an offbeat gag more than a trick..it doesn't damage the wall..the reason it is a gag is because the audience will want to grab it to see if their wall is ok..i don't care how much spectator management you have, they are going to grab it. the method to the newspaper stand I am not sure ..i do not have acsess to the post purchase forum yet but when I do I have some ?'s. as for people saying it will damage the wall, it is not major damage..it is a little pin or small nail hole..there are ways just thinking for a second that I came up with to get around this..i don't know if they will work as I have not purchased the gimmick yet..but I plan on doing it soon..the gimmick is no more than 15 bucks. he explains how to hook the gimmick up and hide it if you are on the outside throwing the cards so the card sticks on the inside..he doesn't really explain how to do it if you were inside throwing it outside..the walls are different on the outside than the inside so attaching the gimmick will be differnt. I am going to start looking at every window when I go to stores or I am just walking down the street so I can see what windows are good. all in all the dvd has a good picture quality and the explainations are pretty thorough, the ideas are very unique, the practicality is very good the only downside is not having the spectator want to run around and grab the card wich is pretty easily solved with practice. I give it an 8 out of 10 if you have ?'s feel free to pm me and I will answer any ?'s to the best of my ability. magic mike

Magicmike96 is right on the money here!
some effects require "helpers". Some may count that as a good thing but I don't. The beautiful he does with a single wave and the card appears CAN ONLY BE DONE AT NIGHT. BA is used. I LOVE this one because my car has dark tint on the windows! I know everyone wants to know about the girls in the resturant: Its the most basic card thru window. The girls where NOT watching the effect. Eric was performing for someone else outside. The girls where startled because the deck was thrown at the window. Card to cellphone : I had this idea years ago - I didn't ever use it cause its not that amazing. Card thru table : if you were hoping for a "cyril" type penetration . LOL @ YOU cause this is not it. your spectators will guess how its done and get it right in the 1st 3 seconds after you finished. Wall stab : self destructing gag. People will run to the wall and find out how its done. anything else you wanna ask while I'm in a truthful-i don't care- mood.?.huh? do ya huh? (lol) cheers |

Quote: Yes so how does that support macGyver's theory of the girls not watching? And I thought the card cannot be touched because of the gimmick in the Ultimate routine.

Um..lets put it this way..this was done with the david blaine method and the girls didn't notice the dirtywork- they only were only startled by the ards hitting the window..then they were instructed to peel the card off the glass..
