Because that is not fitting with my image or the effects I do. But could be a nice idea.
UPDATE: Dec 11, 2003 Hey guys an update for you. Everything is happening again!!! I am a month into filming with a different TV company and the show will be on Sky next year. I can't say too much as my contract says I can't release any infomation before they O.K it. It will be a six part series an hour each episode, with me and my two mates as a team. I have been doing magic for celebs and stuff but the show has changed a lot. There is some hidden camera stuff and surreal characters. I am hoping magicians like it as well as the public. |

We do have a hippie type character on the show. He is called 'New-age Nigel'.

I know this thread is pretty old, but what was the name of your show if it did air? You mentioned someone called Max, so was your show Max magic on Sky One?

Yeah Jayp it was Max magic. Still on repeats over a year later, a popular show. But the second series got cancelled about a month into pre-production and we never even started filming. But watch out for my new project coming soon...

I have only managed to see one episode, but I enjoyed it, sorry to hear about the second series, but good luck with your own project. Who were you in Max magic, since I'm guessing Max wasnt you as you mentioned him above.

I was the guy with the spikey hair (now gone). I played the matrix guy etc. as well as myself. What episode did you see?

I saw the episode where they did the fastest card trick, using the camper van, race track, motorbike and intercessor , were you the guy that performed that trick? The show also had a guy (the same guy that did the mentioned trick) using a sven deck in a club, and there was a bit involving an ice cream truck. This maybe two episodes, I cant remember if I saw one or two but they were the repeats on sky one. Did you have apart in the mentioned episode(s)?

Well it was handled like a sven deck, maybe it was a mirage deck, it was definately handled like a deck of short and long variety.

As far as I know I only ever used standard bikes during the series! Maybe spending my teenage years selling Sven decks to other people, influenced the way I handle any deck. In fact I am going to spend some time this christmas doing the same thing, always good when you need some quick cash.
Just to clear up your confusion jayp, there were just three magicians in Max magic. Max Somerset, Joe Piper (that's me) and Chris Woz. We often played different characters as well as ourselves. That was me in the van and Max on the bike for that card trick. Chris Woz the guy in the ice-cream truck. Joe Joe |

Yep that does clear it up, that would have been you then, that I thought was using a Sven deck, but it must have been just because of the way you handled it like you said. Anyway well done on the series, and on selling Sven decks
