Does anyone know if their are tapes or CDs available that demonstrate the distant and muffled voice effect , and instruct how to do them?

May I suggest the Paul Winchel DVD "ventriloquism for fun and profit" I think that's the title. He does a wonderful instructional DVD covering many aspects of vent including the distant voice. I highly recommend getting it.

As said before, Maher Studio has tapes by Bill Boley that cover this topic. If you can find the videos by the Great Lester, part of his standard routine was with the candleabra telephone ala 1915. He spoke with "persons" on the floor above and below him as well. A Dan Axelrod carries vent videos. Great guy. Don't know his address right off. If interrested email me, I'll dig it up.

Ventriloquism is accomplished through the stomach muscles. as you project "your" voice, raise it an octave by appling pressure against your diaphram. Now, raise it again, and again depending on the distance away you desire. The voice gets small and smaller.

Any help?

About 25 years ago I got the Bill Boley Tapes.

I still refer back to them.

Mine were on cassette.

Does anyone know if they have put them on C/D's?
