Not any websites offhand but, you may want to check out Milbourne Christopher's book "The Illustrated History of Magic" on Amazon. It's revised with additions by his widow including Siegfried and Roy and other comptemporary magicians. I have the first edition and it's a great read.

The Milbourne Christopher book is great. You may also want to take a look at Bill Palmer's virtual "Cups & Balls Museum" at http://www.cupsandballsmuseum.com, where you will find the illustrated history of what may well be the world's oldest trick.

I have read David Blaines "Mysterious Stranger" book. It has a lot on the history of magic. It also has quite a few biographies on houdini, houdin, Orson Welles. That is all I can think of now, but I know there was a lot more. Just a little while ago I seen a bit of a show on A&E, it was a biography on the history of magic, it talked about Houdini, Houdin, and all the great famous magicians. If you go on http://www.aetv.com and do a search for the subject, the shoiw should come up, then you can buy the video. hope this helps. -Cory.
