I saw a recent set and was appauled. The Empire Golf Ball sets weren't always as bad as they are today. At the time of my post, the shell was made of steel, painted all the way through and matched the color of the balls perfectly the way they do on the box.
Over the years they continued to reduce the quality of the shell a little bit at a time until it no longer matched rendering the set pretty much unusable in my opinion. I understand resorting to cheaper materials to reduce costs and raise profits but they could have at least matched the color for $hit's sake. These overseas scum bag manufacturers think we're stupid. |

I learned a nice routine from John Booth's book, Marvels of Mystery. Used Ireland multiplying golf balls. Now have Fakini's. I used Booth's Cannonball Finish with a huge ball I got years ago. Simple to do and a fooler.

Fow what it's worth, Fakini Golf Balls are the way to go.....
Fakini makes a giant Golf ball for a finish, and makes golf balls (and shells) in various colors for color changes, and makes a four-ball production gimmick, amd makes a diminishing golf ball set..... And.........they're made to last.......pro-level equipment means you buy it once.......and you're set! Highly recommended~! |
