That's fine. My problem with the two mentioned routines is that they break the most fundamental law of magic- don't show the same trick twice. These effects show Tenkai Pennies essentially three times in row. At least two. This thread isn't about me, but I'll answer you briefly. Catapult! is going to be about the Catapult Vanish, a great source of inspiration for me, and the places I've gone with it. Lot's and lots of intermediate to very advanced stuff covering T&R effects, unique pitches, changes, sleeving, and a lot of other cool moves. The goal was to keep the magic as clean and visual as possible. Back to the topic, these coin workers have made me rethink my view of Coins Across. For the most part the guys avoid standard HPCs and coin clipping in favor of less traditionally discussed material. Nothing with invisble pitches though. Which makes me happy.

I like Mr Clean, and although I can't speak of 3/4 Accross, but with the Sankey routine, the PT is only used once, other methods are used to accomplish the other coins.

Perhaps. My point is he's basically repeating himself 3 times. GP is done 3 times in row. That to me starts to look strange. And twice the right hand must come over and touch the left. Unmotivated to me. IMHO, if you can avoid repeating the same basic technique, avoid it. That's all.

I am going to send out motel/ hotel information this weekend. In the next week I will personally contact the attendees to go over the curriculum. We are excited that this will be the best, most intimate Seminar yet, a great opportunity to learn practical, commercial routines, applications, moves, situational magic, from some of top guys in the field over the last 30 years. Register by PAYPAL at http://www.newyorkcoinmagic.net , or write me with any questions at coinchampions@aol.com . Not much time to register, so take advantage of the holiday weekend, and make plans to come!
Posted: May 27, 2006 9:26pm ------------------------------------------------ Hey BJ, thanks for your PM. We WILL be doing another DVD, it will not be a summary of the Seminar. The Seminar is a day onto its own. The DVD's we do may have some excerpts from the day in the bonus section, but will have so much more material NOT covered in the Seminar. The Seminar also covers more than just one coin plot. For example, we did 1 and 1/2 hours on coins across at the last Seminar, but our DVD is over 4 hours. We like to focus on new material, but spend a lot of time on techniques, moves, and whatever the group wants to learn. At SEMINAR FOUR, we plan on doing a lot of cool copper silver stuff, but productions, vanishes, penetrations, and a bunch of other stuff will also be covered. But, you won't be able to see it all if you don't register, and time is growing short! Looking forward to seeing you there!

My new favorite move- The Rubinstein Click Pass. Wow! Other than the standard click pass, which to me is actually much different, is there anything like this out there? Watching the DVD again, that one fried me badly. Michael, how long have you doing that truly perfect move? Do you ever just do a simple Tenkai Pennies routine and then reapeat it using your click pass? Seems like the perfect application for this move.
Not so impressed with your (or Sankey's) false counts. But blown away with this gem. Also love your creative use of the mat. Best, Platt

Thanks Platt, the Rubinstein Click pass has actually been around for over 20 yrs. It can be found in my lecture notes, and on the Encyclopedia of Coin Sleights and the Knockout Coin Magic DVD set ( as well as many other new and useful moves that have not hit mainstream print). I'm glad you like the move!
Posted: May 30, 2006 7:42am ------------------------------------------------ Just a Seminar reminder that there is less than two weeks left!! All those people who have been wavering about signing up, not much time to decide! Gotta finish the preparations, so let me know your intentions ASAP.

Hi,
For the RUBINSTEIN 'S click pass I think that is an improvement in coin magic, the move is so natural, Geoff LATTA has also a move like that one but he utilize it in a different way. Since I saw the move I got ride of teh classic click pass. Thanks for the move Jean Emmanuel |

I've always avoided the click pass because the hand position always looked very awkward to me. Michael's is the first I've seen that looks completely natural. Vinny's looks quite good too.

coinchampions@ aol.com . See you in 7 days!!!!! Posted: Jun 5, 2006 10:21pm ------------------------------------------------ Just found out...in addition to Tim Conover joining us, another VERY PROMINENT MAGICAN, a LEGEND who was in his heyday in the 70's., will be joining us as well. I can't tell you his name, but if you don't make it you may regret not being with the talent that will be there to hang with you this Saturday. Still time to sign up, but the cloch is ticking...tick, tick, tick, tick.... Posted: Jun 7, 2006 8:49pm -------------------------------------------- I am always pleasantly surprised by last minute signups - but I need to know exactly how many people will be there for the free stuff packages worth over $100, and unique to each Seminar. They contain unpublished material, DVD's, special gifts, and more! I especially like what we are giving away this time! But only to those who let me know they are coming, so get that e mail written soon, or just sign up at the website (which you should have memorized by now!).
