Is it only used to produce a fan of coins....or can you do stuff with a single coin? Would I have much trouble using it with UK coins?

Adam, you would have to make 1 in UK currency IMO, as this is made in US quarters. IMO, I don't like it, clever, but I don't see the point

After recieving the DVD I thought at first that this would probably be something else to sit on the shelf. It seemed hard to work and awkard to produce. But after a little practice, itis actually a clever gimmick. Alex says that you should say you have six coind after producing the "rainbow" but the gimmick is five. He says no one will notice. I disagree.

Pro:
1) You can make it yourself with your local coins. 2) Excellent DVD with a lot of example, idea and tricks Con: 1) It allows multiple coins production, but doesn't really; "This ingenious, high quality utility prop will have you performing expert-level illusions that once required years of study and practice." - HP YOu still need to learn and master coin manipulation skills. It doesn't help you to perform other tricks such as transpostation, appearing and disappearing coins and etc. |

I got it last week and it turned me into a believer! It definitely lives up to the hype and is exceptionally cleaver and well made. You can borrow a quarter and perform the routine with a borrowed coin, and at the conclusion, turn it into six coins located at your fingertips. As grasshop34 stated, it would be impossible to perform the same trick without this special gaff. I perform most of the routines in the DVD, and I have also created my own routine with it. At the conclusion of the Rainbow Coin routine, as I display the fan of coins, I steal a jumbo coin with my loose hand as I say, "...and when these six coins are combined and squeezed together they create..." I then vanish the fan of coins using "vanish one" on the DVD, and switch it out for the jumbo, "...one perfectly large coin!" It kills them.
A magician isn't defined by how many tricks he knows, but how well he has mastered them!

Can you retrofit this to show/produce half dollars instead of quarters?
Thanks |

Two, questions on this one.
First, how difficult would it be to set it up to use different coins? Can you switch the coins out or would I have to build a whole new gimmick? Second, I read a review that said that there are left and right handed versions. Is that true? If so, how do I decide which I should get? |

First, you have to make a whole new gimmick.
Second, figure out if you're left or right handed. Actually not sure if they sell different versions, just that you may need to make one, or else contact the creator as I think he's left-handed. |

Thanks for the reply. I like to use half dollar size coins rather than quarters and I didn't know how difficult it would be to make the switch.

He shows a half dollar at head of video but it does look like it is quarters all the way through. So gaff is quarters right?

Thought I would bump this thread up, because I'm thinking about getting this... Yep, I'm pretty sure the gaf is just quarts.......
I'm not a "pro" with coins, but I think this would be a great utility device that you can do some amazing things with... I'm already thinking of some stuff I can do with it using the Sylvester Pitch app.. |

By the way.. I heard that the gaff is PLASTIC... I couldn't imagine why the coin men here at the Café would say that rainbow coins is high quality if this were true... But, IS THIS TRUE?

Hi all. The gaff is quarters. The gaff is not plastic.
