Drill a hole in the bottom of the bowl in a wine glass with a glass drill bit (about 1/4 inch deep). Put 2 to 3 drops of water in the hole. Wrap and a thin tissue paper strip (about 1/16 inch wide) around the folded egg. You now have complete control on when you want the egg to "appear" by tilting the glass.
