You already know enough tricks. If you want to get something for Christmas get the Peter Wardell DVDs and the Cellini DVDs. There is enough information on those disks so that you will never have to buy another thing and have yourself a fantastic career as a street entertainer provided you have talent, a sense of humor, and an extra yard of guts.
Street performing takes time, personality, a think skin, and three or four magic tricks. The magic tricks will be the least interesting part of your show. People should leave your show a few dollars poorer and saying that guy was fantastic. If they walk away saying that it was really cool when the lady floated in mid air you missed them. You want them to remember you, not what you did. As long as you do the tricks well and they can be reset quick, work surrounded, are highly visible, and don't weigh a ton, you don't need to know any more tricks. If the Cellini vids were produced at the high standards of the Slydini DVD then they must be great.

They were and they are!

Koz did a great job with both of them.
And he is a pretty fair street entertainer himself. I think he may even be a Busker! BroDavid

I agree with the quality of Kozmo's work. His production quality leaves nothing to be desired. Just finished viewing the Slydini DVD's. Awesome! A definite must have!

The Wardell DVD`s echo the teachings of Ken Brooke from the 60`s, his influence was from Joe Squinters and the Percy Press Snr era.
You can see the Gazzo trait throughout his work as well. For anyone not familiar with these methods the DVD`s are worth thier wieght in gold, but for any Brookie student or present street worker the info would be known. Still it`s nice to have it documented for posterity. Ken. All in all a good buy to add to the collection. |

Here's a way to get started (coming from a pretend-busker).
You have to develop interesting routines. You cannot just do tricks. You have to have an anlge to keep them around watching. Get a TT. Get a Silk. Get a beer. Sit down with all 3. Come up with a 5 minute bold, funny, magical act with this pair. Complete with magic, surprises, jokes, funny moments, unexpected events happening to throw them off... If you can't do that, no trick will do you well. If you can, then any trick can do well. Mine is only about 2 minutes to date. But I'm on my way. It has a great ending that is quite unexpected. Inspirations can come from other effects, DVDs you've bought, books, movies, .... HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... and I just came up with another great thing to add. I bought a DVD recently, and in someone's act, there was a tremendous sucker move with, well, I'll leave it at that. It was not a silk trick, tho. See... I've just added another wonderful 45 seconds and I'm not kidding. Now I'm very excited about doing this. Oops. I just came up with a second idea. Of course it's not my idea. It comes from a different effect that we all know. Both items I've come up with I JUST came up with. Again, I'm borrowing them from other magic effects. Now, to see where they fit in!! This is going to be very exciting. I'm up to almost 4 minutes now.... WOW! Time to order more silks.
