Are there any good dvds that demonstrate dye tube technique? Good routines, etc?
I've heard Magic for Humans has a dye tube routine. |

There are some videos by Paul Diamond and Peter White. Otherwise, for dvd's you will have to wait on the Wizard of the Backwood..Dr. Sanders.

Great! Can't wait (the dye tube effects are great and I do a lot of professional close up work and get to see a lot of other magicians perform and I have never ever
seen it performed). It's the psychology of the effect that I really love. The audience really does think you still have one in your hand. GREAT FUN TO PERFORM! Love it. |

Duane Laflin produced some DVDs on silk technique, including one on the Palmo and one on the hank ball. Most of the moves with the Palmo are also used with a dye tube.

That’s depends on the size of silk you what to use with the dye tube.
I am doing the Zebra Silk effect; two 18” silk changes to a 24” zebra silk. You can use the Palmo dye tube for up to 18” silk. I am using the Palmo for the first part – change the white to black silk, and I am using a bigger one for the 24” zebra silk. The Palmo is an excellent dye tube because it is very comfortable in the hand. I have seen that Laflin Magic has a DVD on the Palmo, so I believe it will give all the necessary moves. http://www.lockfamilymagic.com/public/Vi......?prID=93

Hi Bob!
Is your Dye Tube DVD already out? |
Bob Sanders Grammar Supervisor Magic Valley Ranch, Clanton, Alabama 20504 Posts |
The answer is "still not ready", but Rick tells me that we have one more instructional DVD out of the way (Improved THIS) and that he will stay after me until we get them all done. (I'm afraid he means it!) I am off the road for a while.
Thanks for asking. Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |

I have the video "Simply Beautiful Silk Magic" by Duane Laflin. It has some dye tube information on it.

I have Duane Laflin's DVDs on the hank ball and the silk fountain. Both are well done with clear explanations and some really good ideas. On his DVD, Duane explains that hank balls are not just for silks anymore.
