I know a guy who is doing soo well in magic, that he gave up (not quit, just stoped doing full time) being a high school teacher. (I think he might still sub) He doesn't JUST do the buskers, but he also does a resturaunt, all types of parties, and he won CAM this year.

Hi!
I busk in Europe in the summertime. On good "crowded" weekends I earn approx. 1000 Euro from Friday to Sunday. That`s 1200 $ I think. When it rains, I earn nothing. On bad days I can still get 100 $. But it is very exhausting, and you need some days off. See ya Ralf |

It is possible to live totally of the street's I did so for some years. I also financed my recent tour of Canada that is my wife, son and my self for two months sorely on busking. To answer your question, I don’t think you will find any one that fits that description. Other than some one how is just starting out perhaps and is learning his trade. All buskers, at least the one with a head on his shoulders will take a booking that pays more than a days busking. I think you have missed out the heart of a busker. Even Gazzo and Cellini are available to take your money; I mean bookings and guess what so are the rest of us. On the other hand there may be a few long term buskers out there that have never been offered pay more than there hat. To cut the long story short they must be pretty bad. Mario PS I would advise busker not to reveal hats on hear; if you do, don't change a habit of a life time make it up. That’s me |

I know several juggler buskers that say they work the streets and arts festivals alone. As Mario said it is almost always agent gigs, referals, corporate, 4-walling and such as a combination punch on the stout hearted individuals who endeavor to make all their money from thier performance craft. I enjoy the outdoor/street shows and have done very well doing them, but I wouldnt ever give up selling entertainment under a roof of some kind. But that's just me.
"What's your drug?" she asked. "Hope" he said, "The most addicting one of all."

The funny thing is that I get booked most often while Busking. It's kind of like getting paid to advertise for myself. So, I think that any good busker could make a full time living from Busking but with the added "four wall" shows it helps even more!
It's been good to me. Considering going "full time" soon. I guess one never knows until they try.
I am truly blessed to have a job where people are laughing all the time and everyone believes in magic....Come to think of it, I'm blessed to even have a job.

I've done it for a living at times, but currently I perform mostly for private shows. I still do perform on the streets to "break in" new material and try new things.

Hey Magicguy67,
if you do a little serch on top of page you'll find past posts about that. I'm a full time busker, working the streets, restaurants, private patries... I do a great living, since many years now! Paolo Venturini |
