Im not sure if this is the right place to put this, I think i saw it here before but I did a serch and cant seem to find it. Is there any way I could make my nose start bleeding? If anyone knows a product or gimmik that would pull this off, it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Dunno if this would work very well or not, but a gell capsule filled with red food coloring would give you a little bit of a bleed, I think.

When a patent has a significant nosebleed we sometimes place a "posterior pack". Basically, we insert a small diamter tube into the nose and it appears in the back of the mouth. This is utilized to thread a cord the same way which is attached to some packing/gauze which is then pulled into the mouth and up against the posterior part of the naso-phanynx. The packing is held tightly by the cord emerging from the nose.
I realize that may have been a bit difficult to follow, it would help if I could draw a picture. Anyhow, you COULD insert a small diameter tube through your nose, down into your mouth and attach a bulb with fake blood (that you hold in your mouth. My pressing it against the roof of your moth (with your tongue) you could squeeze the fake blood out through the tube (which ends in your nose). A bit cumbersome, but it could work.

Why "fix" what works?
For years actors, stunt people, etc. have all stuck a finger with a sharp nail into their nose and made a cut... it's that simple! Yes, there are "blood capsules" that you can place into a nostral and when "punched/pinched" rupture... you can also drive a small pin into them and squeeze the red ooze out on cue. I've used both methods in my shows (I tend to get a nose bleed every now and then when doing the Lesley Wine Glass Bend...)

Hi,
Just a thought: ***** off my girlfriend, and your nose bleeds less than 30 seconds later... Not much of a trick, but it works everytime. I'm not sure this really helps, but I felt like putting it here. Best regards, Eric.

eric2104. Your lucky.. I dont have a girlfriend to do that for me..
Darmoe and MOTO42, I had thought of that.. but I was hopeing to find some way to do it withought touching my nose. But it looks like thats how im going to be pulling it off. Dr Mage, That would be a great idea, but I was hopeing for something less planned out. Im doing it to freak people out at partys, and I dont think I would be able to walk around with that. LoL Thanks All |

Maybe I will say something disgusting but I think it could work.
A young friend of mine has worked the "amazing" capacity to reject a liquid in his mouth by the nose ! He 's a child and I'm sure he has a lot of success in his school courtyard with this ability. Now, I imagine it's possible to do the same with a red liquid (water with non toxic color). You keep this in your mouth and without touching your nose you have a flow of blood. But unfortunatly, during this time : you can't speak See you soon,

Andrew Mayne has a method for producing blood on demand from anywhere - it's in his "shock magic" book and suggests how to bleed from the nose. But, since this is published in Andrew's book, I won't tip any more.

I think if I could work it, moveing it from my mouth to nose might work.. And I haave a friend with Andrew's book, so I can check that out too.
Thanks again -Kris |
