I have been using the Roger Klause Ultimate Slow Motion Bill Transposition (RKUSMBT) for about 4 years now. This is all ways in my wallet and used when asked to see a trick. Is anyone else out there doing this trick. I have had much success with it and am wondering if it is the same for everyone else performing it. I'm not giving a review. I'm just interested in people who all ready perform this. I feel it is a real "worker".

Jsheas,
I have also performed the effect with success, my biggest problem is storing it in my wallet, I have already spent several bills buying lunch via drive-thru restaurants; Have you looked into Burger's 21st Century Bill Transpositon effect? BWind |

I have not seen Burger's 21st Century Bill Transposition. Is it in one of his books or DVD's? Anyway back to RKUSMBT, Do you perform it exactly as the video (exactly as Roger Kause does it), because I have tried different things and I keep going back to his handling as it seems superior than anything I can come up with. |

It does help, but I think I will still be using RKUSMBT. My handling is more open (I hold the bills out with my finger tips). This video of Eugene Burger's trick looks like you're hiding something. Plus why would you methodically put 2 bills into the persons hand to take 1 out. This dosen't make sense. Plus it's a little confusing. Maybe I'm bias because I have been using RKUSMBT for such a long time. In Burgers' I do like how both bills can be borrowed but I know something else is being used.

By the lack of posts to this topic I think it is safe to say that this effect is not used as much as it should be. My guess is that people have been turned off on the idea of bill switiching due to other inferior methods. However, this a routine not a slight. I think many people are missing out on a great trick.

Is this the same as Tom Ogden's 5 and 1 transposition?

I am unfamiliar with the handling of Tom Ogdens 5 and 1. I'm sure the handling is different and the gaff. If there even is one.

I may be way off here... But are these similar to the handling by Mr. Ammar? Where would I find a decent handling?

I am unfamiliar with mr. Ammar handling. However, I am almost certain the gaff is different.

I know this topic has kind of died off but, I must say I did a search on the video and it looks like they are still selling the VHS but without the gaff. They only give you the instructions to make it your self.......

I've seen the Klause and Burger effects. They're both good, but I didn't like having to carry the gimmick. I now perform my own gimmickless, borrowed, signed bill transpo.

Joshua Jay has a very nice bill transpo with a surprise ending. A totally different bill ends up in the spectator's hand. No gaffs and the bill can be borrowed. It is explained on his new DVD series. Which are very very good BTW.

Josh's method for the UFGrant Slow Motion Bill Switch is wonderful. The idea of using an entirely different bill for the climax is a really bad idea however...
It's like doing a routine with a Svengali Deck and then "magically" changing half the cards to one value. |

I agree, I think some times magicians try too hard.....or maybe he needed "filler" for one of the DVDs.
