Hi Hoddy,
To answer your questions: 1. You wouldn't need to buy a punch. Glenn gives some methods and ideas on how to put the work in using easily obtainable objects. I had the same question myself before buying the DVD. I did not have the funds to buy a very expensive punch, although I am looking to invest in a nice one in the future. Glenn gives some nice alternatives on his DVD, which work quite well. 2. The work can be put in before the demonstrations, but Glenn also gives a very brief explanation of putting the work in during performance. I really think you will enjoy this DVD because there are some fresh ideas on it. I believe he's down to his last 7 copies, so I'd snatch one up soon:) I hope this helps, Joe |

Marlo talks about putting the work in with the nail in the book Marlo in spades. Most shows I do the deck is punched in advance of the show. Magicians do not have the time like a gambler would - two or three hours to punch a deck in play. If I need to punch a a borrowed deck and that is rare - I use the nail and do it while I toy with the deck. By the way I hear Gazzo sells a nice punch. Thanks Jaybe for answering the questions. I have a few more left than I thought.

I finally recieved my DVD! This is the best DVD on the subject! The Punch!
Glenn has elevated the punch to new heights. I am the proud owner of the 68th DVD. I know that only a hundred would be released. It is such an honor to be one of the few to learn this. I particularly enjoyed the 23/28 principle. I am a nut about culls and finally I get to see how it is done. I have worked out a way of my own to achieve my stack which I have shown the Godfather before.of course there were some similarities, since it is also an overhand shuffle, but it is quite different from Mr. Molinari's. The Molinari Cull is a thing of beauty! The Molinari cull combined with the Punch is a slayer for cardmen. Glenn does a wonderful job of breaking things down, from the way to make the punch using available objects, to the right position to apply it on. This is probably the only material on the punch since Marlo's video. Oh , I also loved Glenn's way of teaching the routines , using odd colored cards for visual clarity. The Pyle Bridge deal is also something to look out for. All the best to you Glenn and KUDOS to your latest DVD! Your friend, Rannie aka The Manila Enforcer aka The Boss

Thanks rannie I have enjoyed video of your cull work as well and look forward to seeing your DVD. I have heard great things about them.
Thanks J Wessmiller - I enjoyed your Tribute to Erdnase and as a fan I look forward to more great magic yet to come from a magician with high skill as you are. I would just like to point out that the DVD's I do are just Teach In DVD's. I do not perform magic on them - there is no show I just teach the ideas and the moves. My wife and I shoot them in our basement (The home of Basement Deal Productions) and we try our best to cover the moves to give the viewer a clear view and do our best to explain the subject matter. Our stuff is not "Broadcast quality" but we do try our best to know and show the subject matter with clear and spot on camera work on all our DVD's. Having said that I got a great review from Ron Kaye in my blog who is one of the "Old School Card Men". Ron Kaye who is a top card expert on card magic and card sharp technique and was close friends with Ed Marlo, Carmen D'Amico, and "Senator" Clark Crandall and is a close friend of Harry Lorayne as well as other top card men in the USA. http://glennbishopbishthemagish.blogspot......aye.html Thanks again for the kind words.

Just FYI...
I moved the blog address to this address. http://glennbishopmagicandcards.blogspot......box.html And to answer your question the DVD's are not available at this time. I may start producing DVD's again in a year or so - when things quiet down. Cheers!
