Just to throw a little something on the table...
I've been saying in my column that inspiration can come from anywhere, and I had a perfect example of it last night. We went to my niece's for Christmas Eve dinner, and, right there in the living room, was this huge soccer trophy (her son plays). The thing had a base, and then a little gold column, then this gold ball that looked just like a Zombie, complete with the equator line, and on top was a statuette of a guy doing an upside-down kick that would put anybody in traction for a month. So I started thinking, gee, what if... ... and I'll let you fill in the blanks. BTW, remember the Death Star in the original Star Wars movies? The thing always looked to me like a Zombie ball with a ding on the side.
That's our departed buddy Burt, aka The Great Burtini, doing his famous Cups and Mice routine
