I am sorry to have to report, via the Genii Forum and an e-mail that Alex Elmsley passed away on Sunday.

A true genius who will be sorely missed.

Best wishes

Peter

That is terrible news. Personally I didn't know the man but his work has inspired me.

I was fortunate to see him perform at the Magic Circle Centenary Celebrations last year and he was brilliant.

He will be missed. The news came as a real shock this morning.

Best wishes,

I am deeply saddened by this loss. He is one of my greatest influences.

Rest in peace my mentor!

Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,
And I've a many curious things to show when you are there.

Oh no, no, said the little Fly, to ask me is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair
-can ne'er come down again.

I feel sorrow for what had happen. Let us all keep him alive with the "Elmsley Count." His magic will always be in my heart.

Peace, Love and Soul
