Is anyone familiar with a Design Duplication (I think by Doc Hillford) which uses two spectators (one sender and one receiver) and the one duplicates the drawing of the other. (No stooges or pre-show, uses DR principle) Does anyone know where this is available?

The one on "Real Mindreading" uses a unwitting stooge. Curly.

There is another effect by Docc that no one has mentioned. It fits what you described perfectly and is much stronger that the above mentioned pieces. PM me if you are interested.

The dxxx rxxxxxx routine mentioned at the top of this topic is not by Docc Hilford at all, although he does have some lovely thinking on the subject. The one mentioned at the start of this topic has a few apparent creators, one being Morely Budden in the UK and Jay Sanky with Richard Sanders in Canada..
I have even heard of others who say this is theirs.. A nice idea although you wouldn't want to do it on people who will talk to eachother at the end of your performance as the method will be VERY clear.. A.R.

Kennedy has an excellent version of this effect called Open Transmission. I think it was posted here at one point, but you can find the whole basic effect at online-visions.com. His book apparently has more detail and subtleties for avoiding what Andrew mentioned above.

Hi Seth, been onto online-visions but can't seem to find the effect Open Transmission.
Can you give us a clue as to where abouts on the site it is? Thanks Ade |

With total respect to Kennedy, this is the version I've heard about, and congratulations to you for coming up with it. Brilliant!

How did I miss that one on my many visits to Visions. Thanks, Mark, for pointing us in that direction. I love Open Transmission! Thanks Kennedy!

When I used this before my own method, I'd have both spectators facing each other, and I would stand beside one with my arm around their shoulder and say, "now look right into his eyes (looking into the persons at the other end of the stage) really try and send this to him".
A small touch, however, the person you have your arm round thinks you mean to them to send the picture, because you have your arm around him. The person at the other end of the stage thinks you mean for him to send the drawing as you are looking him right in the eyes. Best Wishes, Col.
