Would anyone have info on a busker called, I think, Reverend Chumley?
I remember seeing him one time years ago. His big finale was being 'shot' out of a hilariously underpowered cannon. A link to a website would be great. Not much on Google.

Plenty of information if you spell his name correctly
It's Reverend Chumleigh formerly known as the Flaming Zucchini His webpage is http://www.whidbey.com/chmleigh/centralcasting.html He is still alive and kicking and performing wherever possible. He's a new wife, new kid and maybe even a new act or two. He was a mentor of mine and my act wouldn't be the act it is if I had never studied under him. Thus I owe him a lot.

My thanks to Payne for the 411 and spellcheque.
The Reverend's show was such artful fun the one time I saw it.

I remember seeing him in Seattle in the late 1970s. What was really amazing about his performance is that he had the audience spellbound for maybe forty-five minutes while doing almost nothing. And who can forget Brodie, Dog of the Future? You are a lucky fellow, Master Payne.

Yes he taught me the fine art of presentation. How to take the most meager of effects and blow it up into the most elaborate of productions.
He performed at a the PCAM in Tacoma several years ago and was one of the more memorable performaers at that event.
