Hello has anyone ever seen this old Grant/mak illusion? I have the plans and always wanted to build one ...
I wonder if the illusion of the fire on the girl looks good...... |

I owned one for a while and then I sold it to Jeff McBride. I did change it a little bit as it did have its problems. You can PM me if you want and I will go into more detail.

I have had some experience with the Devil's Bride way back in my teen years. Without going into the specifics of the method here, I will say that the illusion of the fire is perfect. It will fool you while you perform it. However, when built to the exact dimensions in the plans, the urns are a little too small for the illusion of the girl sitting among the flames to look correct. The urns need to be a little larger diameter. The illusion must also be performed above the eye level of the audience. I always thought it had potential, but really had some things that needed to be worked out past what the plans contained. Feel free to PM me if you would like more information. I even still have the "Gates of Hell" (i.e. framed glass panels)!

I have the plans and Always wanted to build one ....The gate of hell part seems a little tricky to make......
I think the principle of how the fire part works is very sound...but I never saw it in use.........Thanks for the info Rocky and Lector...... |

I own this wonderful illusion. It works extremely well and is based on an old Grant effect performed with three candles. Mak Magic outdid themselves on this one.

I owned this illusions and used it as a good vs. evil and did an exchange with it. good illusion. with today's fire laws it might be hard to play in many theaters. if you build one you might want to think of a alternative to the fire.
