Hi doese any one has a review of an old effect "Lit Bulbs from Mouth from HP?"
Effect: This is a miniature version of the Lit Bulbs from Mouth effect, using extra bright LEDs, (Light Emitting Diodes) and makes for a very effective visual magic routine. In this version the performer displays several lit bulbs (LEDs) on a display stand. These are removed, and magically light in the performer's hand. They are all dropped into a tea cup, along with a piece of flexible wire, and everything is "swallowed," the cup being shown empty. Finally the length of wire is pulled out from the mouth, with the lit bulbs threaded on it, a sure fire applause getter climax. The apparatus supplied is complete with the stand, cup, all the bulbs and batteries - just a few handling trials and you can put this into your act! |

Hi Ko Andy, I just got mine 2 days ago. Basically I think it's not quite practical. I don't like the gimmick glass given. The glass model is not attractive at all. I suggest to avoid this trick.

Ever seen Mr. Electric do his Light Bulbs from Mouth. He uses the glass idea. It is the only version that I have ever heard of being done in this manner.

I worked with Marvyn Roy for a couple of weeks on the road. Without giving any secrets away (I hope!) I can say this -- Marvyn started with the load in the glass, but there was a lot more going on than this one load of lights. What Marvyn was doing has never been put up for sale on the open market.
Hopefully, it never will be.

Is this one made in india? If it is, I have had this unit before and the string of light bulbs will break easily after a few shows, then you will need to re solder... I suggest using the string of light bulbs made by Juan Myoral or by Seo Magic in Japan (which is what I use now) .
I don't like the idea of the tea cup. I now use the same frame and created a version whereby I pluck the light straight out and put into my mouth. PM me ill share the idea with you. |

The one I got is made in India. It came with black stand and tea cup. The cup's designs is cheap looking. I also think the same as ReDeFine to use other gimmick to put straight into your mouth.

One of the most amazing light routine I have seen is still Mc Bride's Lights Fan... I still can't figure out how it is done... A Singapore's Illusionist have it too after paying a hefty sum of money I guess...

The old original "Elektra" was a great item. I have seen it in two versions. One was with a stand where each little bulbs appeared to be the flame of a candle and another where the stand was vertical like a tall narrow "V" in an art deco style. The stand, of course, did the work on both models. These were not tiny LED bulbs, but flashlight bulb size. They were both very good, although I'm not sure the necessary battery is still available for one of them.
A few years ago Tannen re-made the prop and, for a short while, advertised it with the same graphics. It was NOT the same stand and the bulbs were tiny bulbs and it was a horrible re-make. I paid $120.00 for it and literally put it on eBay with an opening bid of $1,00 (yes, that's ONE DOLLAR,) just to dump it. That's how bad it was. So, needless to day, I don't recommend you purchase the new one. Hope that helps. |

Guess these lights would have to be very very small.

Try Hocus-Pocus again, I think they've got those Japanese sets still in stock. I picked up a set this summer. It all fits within a thumbtip: 8 lights, the battery, the switch and the cord. SEO magic, from Hiroshima.
All you need is a red D'lite, some black string and this setup. Do a D'lite business, then start eating the lights, then swallow the string, then pull them out on the string.

This set I'm referring to hasn't got a display stand, or etc., like the old setups. And., of course, with a D'lite, you don't need the real bulbs, the first half of the effect.
