I am not sure where this topic would go...but how funny would that be? They look quite a bit alike, and Ben Stiller portraying DC in his early years with the white shirt, tight black pants, and big hair would be hillarious!
Screenplay ideas anyone? |

Yeah, but Stiller is ONLY a few years younger than DC... but yes it would be hilarious.
But who's gonna play Claudia ;b Screenwriters can chronicle: 1. The planning of Dreams and Nightmares with Francis Ford Coppola involved. 2. Rehearsal of Flying (without exposing the method [???] ) 3. And of course his beginnings, in that musical where he sang and performed - and eventually when he got his big break on tv.
I would, however contest that there is in REALITY very little pportunity to perform what could actually be termed "close-up" magic.

That would be funny. Maybe not as an entire movie, which I don't really think would appeal much to the public. A short 15 minute movie would do.
Ben has played Tom Cruz, which was funny. They also look alike. He has also played a member of the back street boys. I love all of the characters he has played. He is super cool and funny. The same goes for his dad, Jerry Stiller. The dalai lama of comedy. Chek out the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TkE8mODn......0stiller Here is the video of him playing Tom Cruz: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QmJwW36B......0stiller

For that matter, I think Ben Stiller could bring his real life wife along for the ride. I think she would make a better companion than Claudia.

In a KEvin Bacon degrees of separation thing, that would be awesome, as Stiller's co-star in "Keeping the Faith," Ed Norton, is the lead in the small film hitting the festival circuit, "the illusionist." Not a comedy.
I am Jack's complete lack of surprise. The first rule of magic club is, you do not talk about magic club. If we only followed that. |

In Arrested Development (best show ever) Ben Stiller played a magician named Tony Wonder who do do stupid Blaine-esque stunts like baking himself inside of a loaf of bread.

AAJ, tonight I had a sudden flashback to Gob doing an act, and I couldn't get Europe's Final Countdown out of my head all night.
I will have to go run through my DVDs to see that Stiller cameo again. I hope it wasn't season 3. |

I always thought he looked a lot like Bob Saget of "Full House"

I though he looked like Saget and a young Copperfield looked alike as well...Glad to hear that I'm not alone on that.
Arrested Development is wonderful...it will be sadly missed. Ben Stiller would be interesting... I could see it. Claudia Schiffer played a woman who was supposed to look like Claudia Schiffer in 'Love, Actually'...

Count me in as one who always saw Saget and Copperfield as lookalikes.

Arrested Development isn't going anywhere... NBC and HBO are in a bidding war for it... I'm sure there will be many more to come.

AlmostAmazingJames,
YES!!!!!!! Tony Wonder pulling the loaf of bread out of his chest!!! I completely lost it when I saw that. I'm thinking of buying the entire season just for that one episode. ~Bryan |
