I'm interested in getting one of Harry Lorayne's books for memory improvement. I'm currently caught between two choices; "The Memory Book" and "How to Develop a Super Power Memory."
If anyone has both, could you let me know which one would be better to buy? Thanks. |

They are pretty comparable if I remember correctly . Given they are both available in paperback, used and cheap, I'd get both of them.

Considering that I live in Japan the delivery costs start to add up. I can buy in Japan but the price is still a bit more than the US, so I'm just looking to order one.
Thanks though Bill. Jon |

I would go with the memory book. It is an excellent tool for memory training. I am not familiar with the other book but if Harry put it out, it is probably very good. I don't know how much overlapping information there is but I can highly recommend the memory book since I do have that one.

I have the '...Super Power Memory' book and can certainly vouch for that.

I've listened to both of them. Only I can't remember which ones the best.

I prefer "The Memory Book," because I like the conversational style. But really, both books (and many of his other books) contain almost exactly the same material, just organized and presented a little differently. Either way, Lorayne is a great teacher of this material, so as long as you're not fussy about how the material is presented, you can buy by price.

If you want to learn the system fast, see if you can find a copy of Instant Mind Power by Harry Lorayne. It is the same material, but it is taught in a programmed learning fashion. It's not a well-known book.
Of the other two, I really prefer How to Develop a Super Power Memory. Jerry Lucas added little to the book, IMHO.
