Hi everyone !
I need a review on this one please. Especially the practical side...I mean, once the gimmick is in the deck (or whatever) can I go with my favorite routines and perform the ambelitious "part" when I want ? What about the durability of the gimmick ? You can see the demo on Hocus pocus website, and I'm sure you will find the text on the upper right corner very suspiscious !! Anyway, thanks for the reply ! |

One more thing : the nature of the effect is "vanishing deck except your selected card".
I guess it was called "ambelitious card" because one of the few effects allowed (or the best one) is a limited version of the ambitious card. You can go and check the video and description of the effect here : http://www.hocus-pocus.com/magicshop/pro......tem=6698 Thanks. |

The text in the corner isn't suspicious. Maybe just the placement.
The text says to take a card and sign it. The spec says it's signed. The magician says he puts the card in the center of the deck and to keep watching. The deck vanishes and there are surprised noises from the spec typical to Japanese. |

Okie here is my review:
when I first got it, I was amazed by the simplicity of the gimmick. To vanish the deck is easy...there no fumble or hard seights to learn at all. Once the gimmick is in the deck, its easy to perform your normal ambitious routine, you just have to keep track of the gimmick and not to flash it. If your going to do this trick at a table then it its good to have the gimmick in the deck, otherwise if your're doing it standing up on the street, the gimmick can be in your pocket. Its maybe be SLIGHTLY angle sensative, but if you work it out and learn how to do it right..angles is not a problem. the gimmick is wear and tear tho...if you take care of it then it will last a long time..but since the gimmick is so simple, I beleive you can just make your own. This trick will provide people who is bored with the ambitious routine, and want a KILLER ending. I love this trick and I rate it 8/10 only because the gimmick is wear and tear and its expensive. I would rate it 10/10 if they sold replacement gimmicks. |

Okay,
thanx for your precisions jtxvo ! Though I have a trouble with your expression "wear and tear" (I live in France !), I guess it means that you use the gimmick only once and then you have to replace it. For Jon Snyder : When I said suspiscious, I mean it looked like the text was to hide something, like dropping the cards except the first one or something like that...But I'm sure to be wrong..Since jtxvo talked about doing it standing up ! One last thing : You talked about "surprised noises from the spec typical to Japanese"....I'm starting to get used to them....Since I watched many Cyril Takayama TV shows !! LOL ! Just one more question guys : Can the signed card be handed at the end of the trick ? Or there's some clean up before ? Thanx again ! |

No you the gimmick as many times as you like, but after awhile it might not be good anymore..for example after using a deck of card so many times..it gets old, and doesn't fan as good anymore. I really can't talk about the gimmick much without exposer.
Yes its possible to give out the signed card at the end...but your going to need some sleights, and maybe misdirection for half a second. |

How is "Ambelitious Card" different from "Exit 51," which is based on the Paul Harris effect "P.H. Vanishing Deck" (Art of Astonishment, Book 1 at page 41)?
Thanks, CM

Chris, I believe that basically instead of the signed card being *part* of the gimmick, it is merely attached to the gimmick.
So you can detach and ditch the gimmick, so that they are left with an inspectable final signed card. Personally I've never found a need for it to be signed(with Exit51), as there is no question that the card is their selection... |

Not a bad effect, but I went back to basics. Nothing beats the ungimmicked card to pocket-deck to pocket.
Just my opinion.

Okay, I am a little confused....
Can this be performed STANDING? IF SO...will a toppit be needed or palming? Please don't expose the secret but any help would help me make my decision on buying this. Oh yeah...I already own Exit51. My last question is: can this be performed with a BLUE DECK? Thanks, PM me if you can help me with these questions before I invest. Thanks, KW |

Another question...is Exist 51 a better method for those who owns both? Which one is "easier" to perform? I saw a similar effect on Criss Angel's mindfreak where he puts the deck in the water and the rest of the cards "melted" except for one. Did he do it with either one of these methods or did he use camera???

I have no idea, but I perform Ambelitious Card by standing up and I don't wear toppit, I don't even have it.
