I an happy to announce a Benifit Magic Show.
When: Sunday April 9 @ 2:00 pm
Where: Olin Hall @ Ursinus College, Collegeville, PA
What: A show 8 acts of comedy, magic, and juggling
Price: $4 in advance, $5 at the door (General Admission seating)
Why: A fundraiser for Alex's Lemonade Stand
I.B.M. Ring #57, The Mingus Magic Club, of Reading, PA will be presenting the show.

More on the cause:
Mingus Magic Club member Dan Lafferty unfortunately lost his 3 year old daughter on Christmas day 2005 at the age of 3, to cancer. The members of the club decided a nice way to honor the memory of Shelli Lafferty would be to hold a show in her honor. The Lafferty family decided ALL proceded would be donated to Alex's Lemonade Stand (www.alexslemonade.org) in honor of their daughter.

I know a few Café mambers, as well as I.B.M. and S.A.M. members will be helping out with the show it should be a good time for all.

I am happy to announce that due to great ticket sales we have decided to add a second show.

We now have limited seating left for the 2:00pm show, however the new 5:00 show is wide open and ready for ticket sales. If you live in the Philadelphia PA area please pass this information on to anyone who might be intrested. Remember it is a show to benifit the honor of the late daughter of one of our fellow magicians.

I'm glad to see the money will go to a reputable donation.
I'll be there to support, IM me if you guys need any help with the show, anything for a good cause. It's nice to see a bunch of magicians helping the less fortunate and the neighborhood too.

This show is really "Magicians helping Magicians" we were going to donate the money to the Lafferty Family however they made the decision to donate to Alex's Lemonade stand after their daughter passed away.

Just an update...I don't know if any Café people came or not, but

We sold out the first show (317 seats) and sold probally 150 seats for the second show. Most importantly we raised around $2,000 dollars which is all going to Alex's Lemonade Stand. Just an example of what you can do with magic.

Congrats Ryan! What a great cause! I only hope that we can do just as well with our show in May!
